In the front of the Guest House on Main Street in Fort Bragg next to the Skunk Train Depot is a slice of a big tree – see picture below. The plaque on the tree shows that the tree was over 900 years old when it was felled. Attached to the tree is the crosscut saw used to make the back cut – the cut that brings the tree down.
