Whitesboro

Today Salmon Creek consists of a sign on Highway 1 as you approach the high bridge over the creek. The mill at Salmon Creek was about three miles from the sea. The mill (see picture below left) was owned by James Pullen & Associates. The picture was taken about 1896.

The wharf was at Whitesboro which, as can be seen (center picture), was large enough to handle three schooners at the same time.

Here (picture right) the new bridge across Salmon Creek has been built but the old disused bridge across Salmon Creek leading to Whitesboro Wharf remains.
