Rainier:
Built by G.H. Hitchings in Hoquiam, Washington in 1900. She displaced 800 tons.
Ravalli:
Built by Bendixsen in Fairhaven, California in 1905. She displaced 998 tons. She caught on fire and was lost in Alaskan waters in 1918.
R.C. Slade:
She was a four masted 673 feet long schooner. Launched in 1900 she was lost off of the Mendocino Coast in 1917.
R.D. Inman:
Built by Kruse & Banks in North Bend, Oregon in 1907. She displaced 717 tons. She was stranded and lost in San Francisco Bay in 1943.
Redwood City:
Built by John W. Dickie at Alameda, California in 1907. She displaced 258 tons. She foundered in San Francisco Bay in 1943.
Reliance:
Reliance was a two masted schooner launched in 1880. She was 69 feet long, 29 feet in the beam and displaced 69 tons. The Reliance was wrecked off of the Mendocino Coast in 1885.
Restless:
A 78 ton two masted scow/schooner owned by Mr Musselman parted her lines and was lost off of the Mendocino Coast in 1886.
Rio Ray:
She was launched in 1880. The Rio Ray displaced 80 tons, was 79 feet long and 24 feet in the beam. Commanded by Captain Isjgkett she was wrecked off of the Mendocino Coast in 1901.
The Rival
Rival:
Built in San Francisco 1888. She displaced 266 tons. She was a steam schooner. The Rival was part of the Robert Dollar fleet as evidenced by the dollar sign on the ship’s smokestack. She was abandoned in Oakland Creek, San Francisco Bay.
R.J. Whiting:
One of the worst storms on record occurred between November 17th and 23rd, 1865. Mrs. Silas Coombs of Little River wrote about the storm in the November 28th issue of the “Ukiah Herald.” She reported that one night at Noyo (Fort Bragg) the schooner R. J. Whiting disappeared.
Robert E. Lee:
A two masted schooner she was wrecked off the Mendocino Coast in 1870.
Robert Dollar:
Built by G. H. Hitchings at Hoquiam, Washington in 1900. She displaced 798 tons. She was sold to East Coast interests in 1917. Her name was changed to Martha Buchner and she spent her last years as afish reduction ship.
Rochelle:
Built by Stone & Van Bergen 1n 1896. She displaced 632 tons.

A schooner that was stranded and lost off of the Mendocino Coast in 1862.

The Rosalie was a schooner that was stranded off the Mendocino Coast in 1883.
Rosalie Mahoney:
Built by Mathewws Shipbuilding Co. at Hoquiam, Washington in 1913. She displaced 844 tons.
Ruth:
Built in San Francisco she displaced 377 tons. She was stranded and lost 1n 1903.
Ryder Hanify:
Built by W.G. Stone in Oakland, California in 1917. She displaced 1,428 tons. She was stranded and lost in Coos Bay in 1944.
Ryder Hanify (second of that name):
